The Idaho Transportation Department is reporting that freezing rain and cold temperatures have caused multiple accidents along I-84 leaving sections of the interstate closed.
According to the Idaho State Police:
Idaho State Police is currently investigating a multiple vehicle crash eastbound Interstate 84 at mile post 216 east of Heyburn, ID. Traffic is being diverted off the Interstate at mile post 211 and then back on at mile post 216...

Idaho Transportation Department says I-84 southbound to the Utah state line is open, however, they caution drivers to be careful.

Idaho Transportation Department says I-84 southbound to the Utah state line is still closed. Idaho State Highway 81 from just south of Declo to Malta is also closed to due weather conditions.
