The U.S. Department of Transportation announced Monday the city of Twin Falls is the recipient of $900,000 to develop local air service which will result in flights from Twin Falls to Denver, Colorado.
Thick fog in the air causes flight delays and cancellations at the Magic Valley Regional Airport on Tuesday.
The KMVT Chief Meteorologist said visibility during the mid-day was from a quarter to a half-mile.
Airport Manager Bill Carberry said for planes to come in and land they need at least a half-mile visibility.
Travelers heading out of the Twin Falls airport will see some changes if they are going with electronics. The Transportation Security Administration announced this week anyone going through security at the Pocatello Regional Airport, Friedman Memorial Airport in Hailey, and the Magic Valley Regional Airport will need to put all electronics larger than a cellphone in bins for x-ray screening.
