A Burley man charged with involuntary manslaughter will go before a jury trial on June 27th. 24 year old Michael Thompson is charged with shooting Michael Blair with a handgun after the two men and two female companions spent the night drinking at a bar in Paul.
An involuntary manslaughter charge has been brought against a Burley man after a second-degree murder charge was dropped earlier. 24 year old Michael Thompson was allegedly holding the gun that killed 21 year old Michael Blair in Thompson’s truck last month. The 2nd degree murder charges were dropped after prosecutors felt there was not enough evidence to support the charge.
A charge of second degree murder has been dropped against a Burley man after a judge ruled there is not enough evidence in the case to convict. 24 year old Michael Thompson was arrested in December after a passenger in his pickup, 21 year old Michael Blair of Burley was found shot to death in Thompson’s pickup.
