This may seem like a silly question, but where should you park in Twin Falls during Western Days? There are events going on all weekend, and parking will be at a premium. Here are a few helpful and handy hints to get you and your wheels safely through Western Days 2014.

The Twin Falls City Council was still unable to reach a consensus on a permanent solution to the downtown parking issue yesterday.  With councilman Trip Craig absent the council voted 3 to 3 on an amended proposal to discontinue using parking meters in the downtown area and stop leasing private parking spaces and turn them all into public spaces.

Twin Falls City Council may finally decide on the fate of the parking meters in downtown Twin Falls and a host of other parking issues.

Last night the Twin Falls City Council decided to revisit some proposed changes to downtown parking in a couple of weeks.  The council was considering some recommendations from the special task force that had studied the downtown parking situation for the past several months.

The special task force set up by the Twin Falls City Council to  study parking in the downtown area has made several recommendations and the City Council will consider those tonight.

The Twin Falls City Council is forming a task force to look at the downtown parking issue and come up with ideas of how to handle parking in the downtown area.  After discussion last night over two recent surveys to get other opinions on the matter, the council voted 6 to 1 to form the task force.

More discussion will be taking place tonight as the city council tries to decide what’s best for downtown parking.
