Sometimes the thing that makes a waterfall attraction so attractive isn't the size but the adventure to get there or the ability to interact with the waterfall.
Mother's Day is Sunday, and southern Idaho temps will be in the low-seventies. Lake Walcott, the Snake River, Blue Heart Springs, Thousands Springs State Park, Balanced Rock Park, and other southern Idaho destinations will be ideal landing spots for a Mother's Day outing this weekend.
We have so many waterfalls around the area you may not even realize it. The waterfalls will all be flowing by the weekend and there are a ton you can go and visit. Of course, we have Shoshone Falls which are always slightly flowing but they have been turned on higher.
There is a couple on YouTube who said they decided to quit their jobs and explore the world. Due to COVID 19 they came back to the United States and continue their adventures. They made a stop in Southern Idaho and it makes me wish it wasn't the last day of summer.
Search and rescue crews are back on the water this morning looking for a missing BASE jumper on the Snake River below Twin Falls. The Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Team has been looking for Austin Carey near Pillar Falls in the last several days and have asked that the public stay away and give crews room.
A 14 year-old boy has been safely rescued from Pillar Falls. According to Lori Stewart with the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Department, the boy caught his foot in the rocks and several people helped to keep his head above the water.
