John Lezamiz, who lives in the area where the zip line would be built, claims that several residents who live in the impact area of the zip line were never contacted by Magic Valley Flight Simulation when the issue was being discussed before P&Z.  The council has asked City Attorney Fritz Wonderlich to look into the situation and see if there is a valid argument based on confusion of the map.

Last night the Twin Falls City Council listened to progress made by a citizens committee regarding the possible building a city recreation center.  The council made no decisions on the issue last night but it did have some guidance for the committee.  The council asked for a five-year operating cost estimate and a design for a 55-thousand square foot facility that could be expanded in the future.  The council also asked members of the committee to develop some funding options and to determine what effect such a recreation center would have on private businesses in town that are providing many of the same services that the rec center would provide.
