TFP&Z Approves Zip Line Permit

The Twin Falls Planning and Zoning Commission has approved a special use permit for a controversial “zip Line” proposed for the Snake River Canyon just north of Twin Falls. 

Magic Valley Flight Simulation first proposed the recreational endeavor about two years ago when their request was first denied.  But during last night’s meeting, despite a lot of opposition for the project, the commission passed the request 7 to 1.  Many residents in the area along Canyon Springs Road and Canyon Park Ave. were opposed to the idea saying that area was not equipped to handle the additional traffic.  But those on the commission who voted to approve the permit for the project indicated it was not the commissions place to deny the permit based on the fact that the city’s roads were not up to par if the company requesting the permit meets all legal obligations to build it.
