If we were ever wondering what AMC would do after ‘Breaking Bad‘ (which is scheduled for its ultimate end this summer), and ‘Mad Men‘ (which is likely to follow next year) leave the network, our answer has arrived. AMC has officially announced series pickups for forthcoming Revolutionary War drama ‘Turn,’ and ’80s-set “Silicon Prairie” drama ‘Halt & Catch Fire,’ starring ‘Guardians of the Galaxy”s Lee Pace.

AMC executive Charlie Collier announced the pickups for both series just prior to the ongoing Television Critics Association press tour panel for ‘Breaking Bad,’ without specifying individual episode order or airdates.

Based on Alexander Rose book ‘Washington’s Spies,’ and written by show-runner Craig Silverstein (‘Nikita’) and executive produced by ‘Bones’ Barry Josephson, ‘Turn’ is set in 1778 and follows New York farmer Abe Woodhull as he “bands together with a group of childhood friends to form The Culper Ring, an unlikely group of spies who turn the tide in America’s fight for independence.”

Meanwhile, ‘Halt & Catch Fire’ is set in the 1980s against the backdrop of the personal computing boom. The series was created by Chris Cantwell and Chris Rodgers, with Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein (‘Breaking Bad’) as executive producers. Starring Lee Pace, the drama features a fictional visionary character, an engineer and a prodigy responsible for “innovations directly confront the corporate behemoths of the time.”

So, what do we think? Do AMC’s next dramas sound up to snuff?
