Big Ed Beckley Postpones Jump Over the Snake River Canyon

Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Jerome County Sheriff Doug McFall said that Ed Beckley has notified his department that he will need to move the planned jump of the Snake River Canyon to probably sometime in October.

In a phone call to the sheriff, Beckley said that he has to make the move due to a request from the FOX network that plans to televise the event. Beckley also announced that the planned monster truck rally will need to be cancelled. That was going to be Friday and Saturday September 5 and 6, 2014

According to Beckley’s application his jump would have taken place on Sunday, September 7, 2014 utilizing the premises he has leased from the State of Idaho. Beckley won the bid to the state, paying nearly a million dollars for the use of the land. Beckley said he planned to cap the number of tickets to be sold at 10-thousand.
