A man was shot by a Twin Falls police officer early yesterday morning after they say he fled during a traffic stop, and rammed two police cars.  Shortly after 1 a.m.  officers say they tried to conduct a traffic stop, but instead of pulling over, the suspect lead police on a short chase.  The man turned into a dead-end street, turned his vehicle around, and then charged towards officers, hitting two police cars.  While he was ramming the police cars, an officer shot the man.  The man shot by police is alive, and was transported to St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls where he is now recovering after undergoing surgery. No officers were injured in the chase.  The officer involved in the shooting has been placed on administrative leave while the incident is investigated.
