There’s really no clever way to bring this up, so let’s just say it: dinosaur erotica is a thing.

Yup, a series of books about women doing the deed with dinosaurs has become something of a tyrannosaurus-sized hit.

The books are written by Christie Sims -- who describes herself as a 'plain old, everyday Midwestern girl' -- and Alara Blanwen and feature such hard-to-resist titles as ‘Mounted by the Gryphon,’ ‘Ravished by the Triceratops,’ ‘Taken by the Pterodactyl,’ ‘Riding the Dragon’ and ‘Ravaged by the Raptor.’ Do we smell Pulitzer?

All of the books are on Amazon for the bargain basement price of $2.99. You can see some of the covers below, to whet your appetite.

Perhaps the only thing more entertaining than the books is the reviews, including this one for ‘Taken by the T-Rex’:

It is very uncommon to find accurate depictions of dinosaur on woman sex. If, like me, you have found it increasingly difficult to satisfy your need to recount old times, then this literary masterpiece is for you. No other author has truly been able to both arouse and entice my intense desire to mate with a T-Rex as accurately and successfully as Christie Sims. I would not be surprised if this book outsells the Bible and brings about a new age of literary enlightenment.

Now, you might be skeptical, but surely there were people who rolled their eyes when Stephenie Meyer shopped 'Twilight' under the notion that a teen falls in love with a vampire and, boy, were they wrong.

Moral of the story? Kristen Stewart could have a whole new career playing the damsel in distress who simply can't resist the lure of the stegosaurus.
