IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Dog bites are on the rise in Idaho Falls. Idaho Falls Animal Services Director Irene Brown says the agency has been getting two to three calls a week about people being bitten by dogs.

She tells KIFI-TV that's up from two to three a month. Brown attributes 90 percent of the bites to residents allowing their dogs to roam free. She advises people to slowly back away if confronted by an aggressive dog. She says running from a dog is one of the worst things you can do.
