Well, that was fast! Just a few short months after 'Falling Skies' season 3 came to a conclusive end, TNT has already landed a season 4 trailer at New York Comic-Con. We've got creepy new mysteries, crazy-looking alien action, and all manner of new 'Falling Skies' season 4 goodies. So take a look at next summer's first official trailer!

Where to start? After recapping the action from season 3 finale "Brazil," the new 'Falling Skies' season 4 trailer launches into a plethora of new footage, chock full of new mysteries. We saw disheveled looking Tom (Noah Wyle) and Weaver (Will Patton) inside what looks to be some kind of alien prison camp, while Matt (Maxim Knight) attended a creepily dreamlike military academy, smiling with the number "333" emblazoned on his chest. Not to mention, a tease of new aliens, Tom with a flamethrower, and a mysterious new figure glancing at the moon!

Speaking from New York Comic-Con, new showrunner David Eick and series star Doug Jones (Cochise) also offered a few teases of the series to come, including that separation will play a large part in the new 12-episode season, as will the moon, acting as a unifying image. We'll definitely see Cochise and the Volm again, as well as other aliens to complicate the action. Perhaps most intriguing of all, Eick revealed that the new season drew inspiration from 'The Empire Strikes Back'!

Along with the news that ‘Falling Skies’ season 4 will increase to 12 episodes from the usual 10, the TNT alien-actioner has also added a new guest star in Moon Bloodgood’s former ‘Terminator: Salvation‘ co-star Treva Etienne, who will play new addition to the resistance Dingaan Botha.

As for the rest of ‘Falling Skies’ season 4, we know that Eick might plan a similar time jump to the seven-month leap that preceded season 3, potentially getting around to reveal the alien Espheni’s true intentions for invading Earth. Tom will deal with the mystery of Anne and Alexis’ strange return, while Gloria Reuben (Marina Perlata) and Ben’s friend Deni (Megan Danso) will likely return for the fourth season.

Well, what are you waiting for? Check out the epic 'Falling Skies' season 4 trailer above and tell us what you want to see from the new season in summer 2014!
