BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The Mountain West Conference has placed five Boise State players on its all-conference first team. Four first-team players come from the Broncos' stingy defense, including nose tackle Mike Atkinson, defensive end Demarcus Lawrence, linebacker J.C. Percy and cornerback Jamar Taylor.

The lone offensive player is junior center Matt Paradis. All five are first time nominees. Four Broncos were selected to the second team. Those include receiver Matt Miller, offensive linemen Charles Leno and Brenel Myers and cornerback Jerrell Gavins. The Broncos finished the regular season with a 10-2 record and a share of the conference title.

Boise State is scheduled to play Washington Dec. 22 in the MAACO Las Vegas Bowl. Defensive Ricky Tjong-A Tjoe, linebacker Tommy Smith, safety Jeremy Ioane and running back D.J. Harper were listed honorable mention.
