TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT)-Many locals are upset after recent vandalism in Twin Falls has turned a beautiful public area into something not so pleasant to look at.

The Perrine Bridge is seen as an icon to many people who call the Magic Valley home, but for some it is viewed as a canvas for vandalism and disrespect. Only two months ago the Idaho Transportation Department painted over the old graffiti under the bridge to preserve its beauty, but that didn't last long. In the past there hasn't been anything in place to deter graffiti, but after this recent tagging, that may need to change.

"There hasn't been any talk at all about what can be done to try to curb this in the future, so that's something that might have to come up,” said Nathan Jerke. Police have been notified of the graffiti and at this time it is not known when it will be cleaned up.
