Glanbia Will Expand Gooding and Twin Falls Plants

Gooding, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Glanbia Foods has announced a major expansion here in southern Idaho.

The expansion includes their manufacturing and production plants in both Twin Falls and Gooding.

Glanbia is the world's largest American–style cheese manufacturer and one of the largest whey ingredient producers.

Specifically, they will invest in manufacturing processes to meet the growing demand for high–quality whey products.

The project is expected to be close to 82 million dollars and bring fifty new jobs to the area.

"We've always been very happy with our experience in Idaho, but certainly the help of the Gooding community and the state of Idaho in terms of the incentives that were announced today were an instrumental part in us making the final decision to base these projects in Idaho”, said Daragh MacCavee CFO for Glanbia.

The new facilities are projected to be up and running by 2016
