A Hansen man is facing several charges after multiple hit and runs in Caldwell over the weekend. It happened at 5:28 p.m.  On Saturday Nampa Police Dispatch received a report of a hit and run collision near the Nampa/Caldwell Boulevard. As officers were responding, a second hit and run collision was also called in.  Both reports indicated that a maroon car had collided with vehicles and then left the scene westbound on Nampa/Caldwell Boulevard.  A witness to the second collision stopped to help. The suspect tried to leave at that time and attempted to run over the witness with his car.   Nampa Police officers were able to catch up to the vehicle. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop and the suspect vehicle failed to yield to the officers.  A short pursuit ensued into Caldwell city limits where the suspect vehicle was involved in a third crash. The suspect lost control of the 2002 Hyundai Elantra at that location and he was taken into custody on scene. The suspect, 37 year old Jason Ramos, was transported to the Canyon County Jail. He was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage collision, aggravated assault with a motor vehicle, felony eluding, DUI and failure to purchase a driver’s license. He was also issued a citation for failing to provide insurance.
