How Cold Is It Really In America?
We have been pretty lucky so far this winter – since we don’t live in the North East and haven’t had to deal with a Polar Vortex! We haven’t had sub-zero temperatures or even very many days of frosted windows. So how cold is it really in America?
The answer is – cold…really cold!
Parts of the U.S. are colder than Siberia or the surface of Mars.
There’s a polar bear at a Chicago zoo who’s hiding in her 40-degree habitat rather than freeze outside.
Many areas are at the point where antifreeze could freeze, at negative-34 degrees.
