There is a perception that Idaho used to be filled with people that were born here and now not so much. But, is that really true? I decided to do some digging - no Idaho potato farmer pun intended. The answer may surprise you.

I found two sources and both agreed on the current percentage of native Idahoans. It's a staggering 46.9%.

The Center For Politics website agrees with that 46.9% number. But, the interesting thing to me is that the percentage hasn't really changed all that much over the past 50 years. According to the chart that I shared, it was only 53% back in 1960 - only about a 6% change in 50 years.

That begs the question "Are you a native"? Were you born in Idaho or are you a transplant?
