Idaho Soldier Returned Home

BOISE — The body of an Idaho soldier who was killed in Afghanistan last week arrived in Boise Saturday night. News Channel 7 reports Private First Class Shane Wilson was just 20 years old.  He graduated from Kuna High in 2011. Wilson died on Oct. 18th in Khost, Afghanistan, supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. An honorable transfer ceremony was held at Gowen Field soon after the plane carrying Wilson’s body arrived around 9 p.m. Saturday. Services for Private Wilson were held at Ten Mile Christian Church in Meridian followed by a burial at Idaho Veterans Cemetery.
