IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Idaho State Police troopers are wearing new badges to commemorate the agency's 75th anniversary. The Post Register reports that troopers started wearing the badges Wednesday.

The badges are similar to those worn by troopers when the agency was known as the Bureau of Constabulary. The badges have a five-pointed star within a circle.

The circle is engraved with "Idaho State Police — 75th Anniversary." Troopers will wear the commemorative badges through the year and keep them when the anniversary observance ends. The badges are silver for troopers, while commanders where golden badges.
