BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idahoans displaced by having their homes go through foreclosure will soon be able to recover a portion of the money lost in the process. The Idaho Statesman reports that candidates have until June 30 to apply for a chunk of $100,000 — the amount Idaho got under a $26 billion national mortgage settlement with the nation's largest lenders.

Applicants can get money to cover moving costs, rent and security deposits. But officials from the organization charged with dispensing the funds said only $5,000 has been claimed so far. Community Action Partnership Association Director Christina Zamora said people only have a few weeks remaining to apply before the grant funds expire at the end of June
