A group of Mormon women is calling on other women to wear pants to church this Sunday as a show of equality.  They are promoting the event with a Facebook page explaining the movement.  The group calls itself feminists, but says that they do not want to eradicate differences between men and women. Their goal is for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to acknowledge the similarities.  They say there are doctrinal inequalities stemming from rigid gender roles that are no longer in line with reality.  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has issued a statement saying that church members are encouraged to wear their best clothing as a "sign of respect for the Savior," but that they don't dictate clothing choices beyond that.
