Shoppers in some instances were caught by surprise Saturday morning in Twin Falls.

And they were doing it while the official standing air temperature outside was 10 degrees.

No, there weren’t any major crimes at Target and Walmart, although.  If you planned to lift a TV today it would’ve been a bad idea!  Police officers and firefighters were shopping for needy families and ringing bells for Salvation Army.  And they were doing it while the official standing air temperature outside was 10 degrees.  Colder in some spots and chilling whenever the wind blows.

By the way, Friday a volunteer bell ringer at Walmart explained the east door was a better collection point than the west door.  City police were manning the eastside.  Let’s hope firefighters at the west end evened the score!
