There were power outages and accidents in the wake of the short but brutal snow storm that barged its way through the Magic Valley yesterday.  Highway 93 was closed for about two hours  between the Highway 25 junction and Shoshone due to a serious accident involving Two semi-trucks, a BMW and an Idaho Transportation Department vehicle.  One women in the BMW was flown to St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise with serious injuries.   Power outages were reported that affected nearly 1700 Idaho Power customers in Paul, Jerome and Twin Falls.  Most of the power problems were caused by the weather.  In instance around 11 a.m. about 100 residences were without power after a car hit a power pole.  The storm lasted about an hour and during that time about two inches of new snow were reported in some areas of the valley.
