Not a lot of people live to be 100, but Harry LeMoyne is defying those odds, when he turns 100 on August 21. LeMoyne was born in Hailey in 1918, and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II flying between England and mainland Europe.
County commissions in central Idaho say they are moving forward with a plan to establish an in-house public defense office rather than continue contracting lawyers to provide representation for poor people caught in the criminal justice system.
Wood River Valley authorities say a recent traffic resulted in an arrest for possession of heroin. According to the Blaine County Sheriff's Office, the traffic stop happened on January 10, at just before 1 a.m. in Hailey.
