Space.com shared details of something that is happening over Idaho this Friday night that hasn't happened in a long time. It involves the moon and could be interesting if you're a sky watcher.

So, what's so special about Friday's sky? It's called a 'black moon' and only happens every 36 months or so. The Space.com people are better at explaining this than I am.

I love it when they bring stuff up like this, but then tell us that there's not much to see. Thanks for that.

If you are clever and have a great camera that does low light night stuff awesome, please share. We'd love to prove the Space.com people wrong and show them what we saw.
