Thursday a Boise middle school was locked down for over 2 hours, dozens of police occupied the building, roads were blocked, other schools were put on alert, all because of a "folding shovel" used in a class demonstration of WWII.  Are we over-reacting or are these steps necessary due to the volatile nature of today's society?

Gov. Otter has his own plan to cut personal property taxes on big business and redistribute "some" of the burden to real property owners.
