TWIN FALLS, Id. (KMVTThe City of Twin Falls is partnering with the Twin Falls Highway District to install additional traffic lights at the intersection of Blue Lakes Boulevard South and Orchard Drive.

The signals will include flashing red lights to draw drivers' attention to existing stop signs and to warn them of the oncoming intersection.

City work crews will begin installing the lights at 7 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, and the work is expected to be completed by 7 p.m. the same day.

There will be no impact on traffic during the installation of the signals, however, drivers are urged to slow down and yield to workers in the area.

The City is sharing the $8,000 cost to purchase and install the lights with the Highway District, which is part of an effort to ensure the safety of motorists using the intersection.
