WENDELL, Id. (KMVT / KSVT) A bond and levy election will take place August 25th concerning the Wendell School District.

The bond, for $1.6 million is to address the school district's "absolute needs." These immediate concerns identified by engineers span from roof to parking lot grade repairs. Meanwhile, the levy proposed for about $250,000 a year, proposes a preventative maintenance plan that will help take care of facilities for years to come. This is not the first time the school district put measures like these on the ballot.

The bond and levy were on the ballot in November and failed to get the nod from a super majority. Wendell School's Superintendent Greg Lowe explains the community feedback and improvements taken into consideration this time around. Lowe says the school district took more into consideration when forming the bond and levy proposals this time around.
