Halloween is over and all of the fun that comes with it has passed. No more haunted attractions, mazes, or pumpkin patches on the weekend. The weather is getting cooler which means the days of being outside are fading, but despite all of that, this weekend shouldn't be bad, and there are still things to do and reasons to get outside. While many will be inside munching on all the candy they have collected over the last month, for those that don't have a stomachache, get outside and enjoy one of the many events taking place in the Magic Valley this weekend. Here are some of the things taking place, so you can plan accordingly.

The women's team is coming off a season in which they only lost 3 times, and will look to get off to a hot start by defending their home court to start the season. If the CSI Women's Basketball Team is back in action, it also means the Men's Basketball Team is back as well. Last year was a magical run, with the team being ranked number one in the country in the NJCAA polls, having won 29 straight games. Sadly, the season ended on a sour note, losing their last two games of the season, and recording their only losses of the year. The team will look to bounce back and duplicate its amazing season but hope for a better ending this year. It all starts on Thursday, and they too will play an early season tournament, with games on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with all games tipping off at 7 PM. They will play Yavapai College on Thursday, North Idaho College on Friday, and Florida Southwestern State on Saturday. For more details on the team and to get tickets, click the link above.

Who doesn't enjoy a free event? What about a free concert and art show all in one? Pocket Vinyl will be performing at the Twin Falls Public Library this Saturday at 4 PM., and this is a unique show that you won't want to miss. It is free, and what makes Pocket Vinyl so different is that they do a painting during their concert, and then auction off the painting to the audience after the show. Elizabeth Jancewicz and Eric Stevenson make up Pocket Vinyl and while Eric is doing piano slamming, Elizabeth is painting live on stage, to make for an incredible show. The duo has released a hundred songs, made a documentary, and has a graphic novel. For more on Pocket Vinyl and their show this weekend, click on the link above.

Part of this weekend will be about recouping from Halloween, but that doesn't mean you have to stay inside and lay on the couch or in bed all weekend. Get out and have a little fun by cheering on the CSI Women's Basketball Team, and then catching a men's game as well, or enjoy a free concert and painting show, attend a gun show, get hypnotized and laugh, or go out to a craft market. Whatever you decide to do, have fun, be safe, and enjoy your weekend.
