The City of Twin Falls has paid attention to the groundhog as well. Projects that will be slowing down traffic with cones, road closed signs, and flaggers should be expected. There is a fire hydrant that is deteriorating and needs to be replaced. The city plans to work on replacing the hydrant located around 2400 Addison Avenue East on February 15th.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area of Addison near Dover Lane if possible. The project is planned to begin at 8 AM on Thursday and be finished that day. The eastbound lanes will be directed to alternate moving through the westbound lane using flaggers during the hydrant replacement. Any questions about the project can be directed to Twin Fall Public Works Department at 208-736-2226.

Outdoor projects have been put on the back burner during the winter weather. With an early spring, ethereal plans become solid. There are lists of things to buy and lists of things to do to get spring projects completed before the heat of the summer sets in.

Warmer weather means more people can take their cardio challenges outdoors and include their pets instead of running on a treadmill while the dog watches from the couch snacking on a chewy treat. They don’t have to listen to a trainer yelling at them while riding a stationary bike, they can simply hop on a bicycle and go for a nice ride in the spring weather.
