This Idaho Driver Found a Dangerous Way Around The New Traffic Barriers in Twin Falls
It was just two weeks ago that the city of Twin Falls installed new traffic delineators along Washington Street at the Addison Avenue 5-point intersection, and people are already sick of them and finding dangerous ways around them.
The traffic poles were installed to make the area safer for drivers, but what I saw one driver do today was more dangerous than anything I’d ever seen before. The full video is below.

WATCH: Drivers in Twin Falls Are Already Sick of the New Washington Street Barriers
I was driving up Washington Street from the south side of town to get my McDonald’s order from the McChevron. I pulled up to the light at Addison Ave as the signal turned green. That’s when a grey truck in the left turn lane from the opposite direction made a tight turn across Washington Street and ended up sideways against oncoming traffic. He paused for a moment and then jumped the curb into the Swensen’s parking lot, where he made another tight and quick turn to get back onto Washington Street, cutting off an SUV in the parking lot.
It was a lot of bad happening in a short amount of time: running a light, ending up sideways in traffic, jumping a curb, zipping through a parking lot...and I caught it all on my car dashcam. Enjoy the insanity in the video below.
I get that it’s more difficult to get around that intersection now, but did this driver take it too far?

A few other notes from the video, maybe you caught these things as they happened too:
- The dark grey sedan on the right that comes to a screeching halt after deciding to not run the red light.
- The black truck next to me who seemed like they were just going to give the grey truck a tap to tell them they made a dumb choice.
- The tan van behind the black truck that came in hot like they didn't realize anything was happening.
- The final car through the intersection looks like it was driving down the center of the road, taking up both lanes as it went through the intersection.
I've never wanted there to be a cop in the area before like I did today. This driver is probably in one of our terrible parking galleries too, based on how they drive.
