Monmouth Basketball’s Insane ‘Bench Mob’ Has Mastered the Art of Celebrating
Mid-major basketball teams don't normally win over the hearts of a nation until March, but Monmouth University isn't waiting.
The Hawks have been stellar in the early season, racking up victories over UCLA, USC, Notre Dame and Georgetown. But it's not their play that has people talking. Rather, it's the work of the guys who aren't playing that has everyone in a tizzy.
With apologies to Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors, the Hawks' bench may be the most entertaining show in sports right now, as witnessed by their Sistine Chapel pose during their win over Georgetown on Tuesday night:

The "Bench Mob," as it's affectionately known, has even explained some of their more memorable routines:
The Bench Mob, which has its own popular Twitter account, has done plenty of poses, making Greg Noack, one of the members, hesitant to choose one above any other. "It’s tough to pick a favorite, but I’d have to say, you know what, I can’t answer that."
With some great regular season wins, the Hawks could potentially make it to the NCAA Tournament, where the bench would be almost as much of a must-see as the team on the floor.
