A Wendell family is displaced after a fire at their home on Thursday night. The Wendell Fire Department said the fire started in their attic around 8:30 p.m. The fire was started by an electrical issue.

The fire on Main Street in Jerome has left 10 families, 47 people, without a home. Fire is something we all pray doesn't happen to our homes. My heart goes out to these people. I can not imagine not having a place for my family to go. It is times like these that it is important to support others...
Earlier today a mandatory evacuation order was put in to place for people living near the Cave Canyon Fire. Rock Creek Canyon as well as anyone living south of Foot Hills Road is being told to leave their homes near the fire. For those in need of disaster relief, the American Red Cross is offering local Cave Canyon Disaster Services.
The American Red Cross is accepting donations to help in the wake of a devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
