A report came in at about 11 p.m. Monday of a suspicious item outside the National Guard Armory in Burley, near the municipal airport. Guardsmen at the armory returned from training and were planning on staying at the armory.

One person was injured after a crash on Interstate 84 near Jerome Sunday morning.  It happened around 8 a.m. Police said 42 year old Chang-Yi Huang,  of Brooklyn, NY was traveling in a tractor with a flatbed trailer hauling a load of 50-foot piping.

A huge new water line is being installed southeast of Twin Falls, bringing hopes of attracting more large-scale manufacturers. The $2.1 Million dollar project is being paid for by the Urban Renewal Agency and is being constructed south of Kimberly Road between 3300 East and Hankins Road. When completed the pipe will run 1.6 miles and be capable of delivering up to 4,000 gallons of water per minute
