I love Chinese food. So, it pains me to pass along the word that the USDA has just announced a massive recall of over 47 million pounds of assorted Chinese food items due to listeria. The bottom line is if you've bought Chinese food at the grocery store recently, check the packages and make sure you don't have the following items.

A Washington state distributor has issued a recall for nearly 500 pounds of beef jerky. There is a concern that the products were under-processed and could still contain dangerous bacteria. Here is the information that was just released by the USDA.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Retailers that accept food stamps would have to start stocking a wider variety of healthy foods or face the loss of consumers under proposed rules expected to be announced by the Agriculture Department on Tuesday.
