KETCHUM, Idaho (AP) - A central Idaho judge has ordered that a new attorney be appointed for a woman who was convicted of killing both her parents when she was a teenager and is now serving two life sentences without possibility of parole. The Idaho Mountain Express reports that 5th District Court Judge G. Richard Bevan last week ruled 25-year-old Sarah Johnson is entitled to new legal counsel as she attempts to get a new trial. Johnson was 16 in 2003 when prosecutors say she shot Alan and Diane Johnson with a rifle at the family's Bellevue home. The Idaho Innocence Project contends Johnson hasn't had competent counsel and that new DNA analytical techniques could prove she didn't kill her parents.
