A BASE jumper injured his leg when jumping off Perrine Bridge Thursday. The Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office resounded to the call a little after noon. The man jumping was from Florida and packed his own chute, but Deputy Sheriff Stacy Gorrell does not know how many prior jumps he has done.
In case you have been living under the rock and/or never go near the Perrine Bridge, Miles Daisher broke the world record for most BASE jumps in one day last week. His last jump turned out to be a very wet one.
UPDATE! Due to high wind concerns tomorrow, Miles will begin his jumps TODAY (Monday) starting at 11 am! Miles Daisher will attempt to break the world record for most human-powered BASE jumps during a 24-hour period.
I have a bone to pick with the rest of the world. Do a search for "best canyons in America" and see what you find. I'll save you some time. What you won't find is a mention of Snake River Canyon anywhere.
We haven't had many cool videos of our many sights around the Magic Valley lately. That's no surprise since it's winter and freaking cold. But, that didn't stop one brave soul who grabbed his trusty drone and promptly captured drop-dead gorgeous video.
Let's face it. It's really easy to take this place for granted. It's understandable. We see it everyday. But, if you really stop and think about it, the ordinary in Twin Falls would be extremely special for anyplace else.
