The fields are already fenced in and somewhat ready to go.  The council approved the site for the project on condition that the fields would be sanitized and ready to go for the softball program which begins on March 14th.  The project will be monitored by the City Council and other city officials and the results will be considered in the possible construction of a permanent facility in the future.  The area will give city dog owners a place to let their dogs run without a leash.  The project will be closely monitored by the local canine social club.
