(KLIX)-June 27th is officially United Way day. Twin Falls city Mayor Greg Lanting read a proclamation making it so for the city. On the 27th the United Way will celebrate 50 years of service to the Magic Valley. According to officials it has helped thousands of people. Last year they services 39,000 directly or indirectly. In the 50 year of service they gave out $9million. Executive Director Bill Knopp, says they hope to give even more in the next 50 years.
