If there's one trend I can get behind, it's the growing number of warm cookie delivery services in the Treasure Valley.

It started with Boise based Cookie Riot delivering chocolate chip cookies and milk to those having snack attacks in Boise three nights a week in May 2017. A few months later Utah-based Chip Cookies came to town and would eventually take over the vacant Addie's Restaurant at 5th and Main.

The downtown Boise location delivers Monday-Friday 8 p.m.- 2 a.m. and Saturday 8 p.m.-12 a.m., but the bakery opens for those who want to drop in for cookies six days a week at 11 a.m. Right now they offer three different flavors of giant 6 ounce cookies: OG, Reese's Chip (October's Chip of the Month) and Oatmeal M&M Chip. They also offer mini versions of their OG cookies.

Boise instantly fell in love with Chip and that shows by their impressive 4.3 rating on Facebook. Now Meridian will get to fall in love with them too!

The Village at Meridian Chip location is scheduled to open this Saturday, October 19! A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and the bakery officially opens at 5 p.m. The first 10 guests in line receive FREE Chip Cookies for a year and the next 50 will get a $20 Village at Meridian Gift Card (which of course, you can sink back into cookies if you'd like.)

You can find the new Chip location near the Big Al's Patio.
