SEATTLE (AP) — Edwin P. Wilson, a former CIA operative whose 1980s conviction for shipping arms to Libya was thrown out two decades later, has died. The Nampa, Idaho, native was 84. A Seattle funeral home official says Wilson died Sept. 10 after a heart valve replacement surgery. The judge who ordered Wilson's release said the government failed to correct information about Wilson's CIA service that it admitted internally was false.
