"The State Department of Education conducted a study last year that suggested consolidating all 115 of Idaho’s school districts into 44 countywide districts would save about $15 million. A more likely scenario would be to focus on the seven Idaho counties deemed most inefficient in school district configuration — Bingham, Canyon, Gooding, Lincoln, Payette, Shoshone and Twin Falls. The biggest savings would come from Twin Falls and Gooding counties, at $2.8 million and $2.1 million, respectively. Read More Here.
