Spud Daddy Breaks The ‘Most Idaho’ World Record Ever Last Weekend
What's the one thing that Idaho is really famous for???? When people from out of state or out of town think about Idaho their brain usually goes to potatoes. Honestly, that's kind of cool being the state known for having all of the potatoes. That being said we love when Idahoans embrace the potato loving state and recently one of "the most Idaho things ever" happened in Boise.
Boise's Spud Daddy
Spud Daddy in downtown Boise is a new baked potato bar that has been getting a ton of hype online. They haven't been open too long but they've already made a pretty big impact here in the Treasure Valley. Locals have been headed downtown to try the newly famous loaded baked potatoes and they are delicious!
Spud Daddy Just Made Idaho Potato History in Boise
This past weekend Spud Daddy hosted the ultimate Idaho event. They attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the largest serving of fries.
Gearing up for the final weigh in they had to cut all of the delicious Idaho potatoes and fry them in order to get the weight and take the title. A new Guinness World Record was set when the final weigh in reached 1,474 pounds! They broke the previous title by 22 pounds and it was made official by a Guinness World Record adjudicator who flew in all the way from New York to make it official!
Congratulations to Spud Daddy and everyone else involved! It's so cool to have such an Idaho world record live in Idaho once more.
