Caring for each other as a society is one of the most important things we can do. When we are children, our parents make sure we are protected and learn all they can teach us. Caregivers made sure we had necessities like food, clothing, and medicine.

When we are adults, we have the opportunity to return the gesture. With age comes plenty of knowledge, experience, a far-reaching outlook, and regrettably, illness. Just like our parents took care of us when our bodies were new and learning how to fight disease, we have a responsibility to care for our parents when they become ill.

One of the most devastating feelings is when a disease has no cure. No matter how much care, love, and medicine is invested, the result is the same. Fighting Alzheimer’s can have an effect not only on the person afflicted but on family and caregivers as well.

Help the Magic Valley Walk to End Alzheimer's in 2023

There’s an awesome event coming to Twin Falls for the Magic Valley to support the fight to end Alzheimer's. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s raises funds for care, support, and research. On September 8th, CSI will host a registration at 10 AM, an opening ceremony at 11 AM, and the walk at 11:30 AM.

Participants have the opportunity to gather and talk about the impact of the disease. They can compare challenges and stories. This event brings together all those affected by Alzheimer’s. Walkers will carry flowers representing their connection to the disease during the Promise Garden ceremony. Walkers will be participating in the world’s largest event in support of Alzheimer’s disease.
