8 Twin Falls Restaurants That Were So Short Lived We Almost Forgot Them
Do you remember having some of these Twin Falls restaurants? I had almost forgotten about them until we started talking about wishing we had something like this. And maybe they weren't short-lived, maybe it is more nostalgic than forgotten.
Chipotle
Do you remember the very short time that we had Chipotle? It was where Happy Teriyaki is now. The Mexican restaurant chain is pretty popular around the country. I am not really sure why it didn't last. It was gone in the blink of an eye.
Patagonia
It was an Argentinian restaurant and it was delicious. Located in the same plaza as the Turf Club, it didn't last super long. The empanadas though were amazing. The owners of the restaurant went back to Argentina due to some health issues. I definitely miss that place. It wasn't around long.
Sweeto Burrito
This was another great Mexican Restaurant chain that showed up and quickly disappeared. It is where Boomerang Coffee is now and I love that place. I just can't believe how quickly Sweeto Burrito ended up closing it's doors.
Blu
For a long time, Blu was being served out of Pebble Ponds Golf Course. There was a location right across from Smith's that Blu slung really good food out of. I believe it ended up shutting down due to issues with the lease but I am not positive. We were always kind of hoping they would reopen somewhere else.
NAZ Kitchen
It was a kebob place that was very short-lived. I heard it had some pretty good food but I never got the chance to try it. It was located where the new Rice And Bites restaurant is.
Genghis Grill
A Mongolian-style restaurant that was located on Blue Lakes. I heard it was really good and really affordable, I am still not sure what the cause of the closure was, but I know people would really like to have it back. At least the people I spoke with.
Rita's
The little coffee shop slash eatery was really pretty good. It was where Smokey Bone used to be located on Shoshone. Tacos Villa is there now. Rita's used to make freezer meals you could order each week and take home and they were great. They were displaced due to issues with lease pricing as well. They were hoping to return somewhere else.
Pandora's Legacy
It used to be located in the same complex that Reds is in, just all the way down. They were a family-run quaint restaurant with really good food. I have heard they have a food truck hanging around here somewhere but I have not been able to locate it.
I hate to see a restaurant go out of business. I am definitely hoping that they make a comeback in some way. I always look forward to different food.
BONUS:
We actually had three different Popeye's and none of them survived very long
Costa Vida closed and that is where Nara Ramen and Sushi is. The sign on the door for a long time said that they would be at another location but I haven't heard anything for a while.
