The weather this past week has been up and down, cold, windy, and snowy, and it has many feeling a certain way. Many residents have been going out of their way to stay off the roads and to stay inside to stay warm and safe. That hasn't been a bad plan, but after a couple of days, it can lead to some cabin fever. Nobody wants to be stuck inside after this past week, and if you need something to get out and do, there are some fun events taking place this weekend across the Magic Valley.

Friday, January 12 - Little Ladies Night Out

Are you a mom with a daughter looking to get out of the house? How about taking your little girl to Little Ladies Night Out at Claire's in the Magic Valley Mall this Friday, beginning at 7 PM? Walk-ins are welcomed, and the event is free to attend. This event is for ladies only so, sorry dads, you have to stay home. The event will be full of girl giggles, fun, and much more. Friday, January 12 and Saturday, January 13 - 'Beauty and The Beast Junior'

One of the best ways to get out of the house but to stay warm in the winter in Twin Falls is to attend a musical or a play at the Orpheum Theatre. This weekend 'Beauty and the Beast Junior' will be performed on Friday and Saturday. The show on Friday will be at 7 PM, with two shows on Saturday, with the first being at 2 PM and the second being at 7 PM. Tickets are on sale and start at $15. Friday, January 12 - Comedy Night with Michael Palascak

With being stuck inside so much during the winter, it is easy to get angry. Sometimes you need a good laugh to forget the stress of the world and the weather, and if the roads are good enough this weekend, you should head to Rupert to the Historic Wilson Theatre for Comedy Night with Michael Palascak. Saturday, January 13 - Snowshoeing 101

Have you ever been snowshoeing before? Do you want to learn? This weekend is the perfect chance to finally learn how to if you never have, and you can do so for free at the Twin Falls Public Library this Saturday from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM with Snowshoeing 101. City or Rocks Park Rangers will be helping lead the class and will have equipment for you to use that day, and also let you know where you can get some if you enjoy snowshoeing after trying it out. Saturday, January 13 - CSI Women's Basketball

It's been a while since the CSI basketball teams have been at home on a weekend, and with the way the weather has been, nobody wants to be outside. How about going to a sporting event inside and enjoying cheering on the CSI Women's basketball team? The women are currently 16-4 on the season and had their 7 game winning streak snapped on Wednesday. This Saturday they will take on Snow College at 1 PM. Saturday, January 13 - CSI Men's Basketball

After attending the women's game from above, how about sticking around and cheering on the CSI Men's team as well? The men will tip off soon after the women's game, around 3 PM this Saturday, and will take on Snow College as well.
