8 Fun Events to Enjoy This March Weekend in the Magic Valley

The weather has been fantastic this week, allowing many to get outside in the evenings, do some yard work, have some fun, and enjoy activities outdoors once again. Sadly, this weekend will not be similar, as the temperature is set to drop, the wind is likely to pick up, and there is to be some precipitation in the area. Despite all of that, it still isn't winter conditions and should be nice enough to get out and enjoy some fun at weekend events happening in the Magic Valley. Don't let the change in weather ruin your weekend, get out and have fun at one of the many events happening this weekend.

Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23 - CSI Baseball

For those who want to be outside this weekend and if the weather is nicer than projected, make sure to cheer on the CSI baseball team, as they will be in action for four games. The team is currently 16-11 and won their most recent outing. This weekend they will play two games on Friday and two games on Saturday, all against Colorado Northwestern Community College. Friday, March 22 Through Sunday, March 24 - 'Tarzan'

With the weather dipping a bit, it makes for the perfect reason to do something indoors, like going to the theatre. How about heading inside and enjoying the classic, 'Tarzan.' The show will be performed at the Orpheum Theatre this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with showtimes at 7 PM on Friday and Saturday, and at 2 PM on Sunday. Saturday, March 23 - Easter Egg Hunt and Vendor Event

Now is a great time to do some spring shopping, and why not take the kids and let them have some fun doing an Easter egg hunt as well? An Easter egg hunt and vendor event is happening this Saturday from 9 AM to noon at Acton Academy in Twin Falls. Saturday, March 23 - Cookie Co Grand Opening

Most people enjoy cookies, and seeing another cookie store open in the Magic Valley is a welcomed addition. Cookie Co has been teasing residents for weeks now with their signs up, but not being open. That changes this weekend with their grand opening. It all starts at 10 AM on Saturday and is an event you won't want to miss. There will be a chance to win free cookies and free gear, and someone will win free cookies for a year. Saturday, March 23 - Spring Festival at the Magic Valley Mall

This Saturday the Magic Valley Mall will be hosting some fun events for their Spring Festival. Everything will begin at 11 AM with a race between the Easter Bunny and Crabman, one of the tortoises from the Twin Falls Zoo. There will be the Hungary Man Contest put on by Baked N' Loaded at 3 PM, with the winner taking home a $250 Magic Valley Mall gift card. The contestants have been chosen, but you can still watch and cheer on your favorite. There will be a storewide Easter egg hunt at 1 PM put on by Daily Thread. Saturday, March 23 - Mid-Columbia Easter Egg Hunt

Easter might be over a week away, but the Easter egg hunts are beginning this weekend. There will be one happening at Twin Falls City Park this Saturday and will be put on by Mid-Columbia. The hunting will begin at 1 PM, but there will be much more than only hunting eggs. There will be cotton candy, a bounce house, vendors, face painting, and much more. Saturday, March 23 - Bob Ross Paint Class

Have you ever watched a video of the legendary painter Bob Ross? Have you ever wanted to paint like he does? Well, you can learn how to this weekend at the Historic Wilson Theatre in Rupert on Saturday. They will be hosting a Bob Ross Paint Class from 1 PM to 4 PM, and tickets are going for $50. Saturday, March 23 - Spring Art and Craft Festival

When winter ends, residents of the Magic Valley want to get out and shop and enjoy browsing for new and exciting things.
