House Engulfed in Smoke and Flames in The Snake River Canyon

A house fire has erupted at a waterfront home in the Snake River Canyon, near the power plant. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.

Emergency Response

Fire crews and emergency personnel arrived on the scene just before 12:00 pm, shortly after billowing smoke turned to flames, originating from the lower area of the home. Fire crews are actively working on containment and ensuring the fire does not spread to neighboring homes. It is not yet known if the house was occupied when the fire started.

With temperatures in the area reaching the 90s today and relatively dry conditions, there is heightened concern about the fire spreading.
